Setting up

What happens after you install it.

  1. Create your account and your first Loop

    Sign up, name your Loop, and Famloop gives you an invite code to share.

  2. Invite your family

    Each person installs Famloop — on iPhone and Android — and enters the code. Codes expire, and you can revoke one at any time.

  3. Everyone turns on sharing

    Famloop explains why it needs location access before asking, then each member grants it themselves. Allowing location "all the time" is what lets alerts and timers work when the app is closed.

  4. Set your first Safe Arrival Timer

    The quickest way to see what Famloop is for: pick a destination and a time, and check in when you arrive.

Requirements

iPhone on iOS 18 or later, and Android. Every family member needs the app installed, needs to join your Loop, and needs to grant location permission — Famloop cannot locate a phone by number. Background location updates depend on device settings and connectivity.
